Is it too late to say HAPPY NEW YEAR, y’all?!?
As you may or may not have noticed SASSY NATION has been on hiatus for the holidays. But we’re baaaack… and as SASSY as ever with some *sweet* new content to help you (and I) step our sassy game UP in 2012.
The first thing you’ll notice is a not so shy photo of me getting my New Years sexy on. Normally, I am not one to post such bootylicious, sassy photos of myself, but I thought this one was appropriate as an intro to our newest section of the blog, SASSY CURVES!!!
This is the section where we will be posting a whole heap of workout/healthy mind & body related content. Since I knew going into this year that I needed to revamp my fitness program, I figured why not share the love and inspiration that I find helpful with you, my sassy followers. I know I can definitely use some extra motivation to help push me to work hard on my personal resolution to become physically stronger in this next year. (Get ready for the gun show BOOM-POW!!!) LOL! Trying to get my Michelle Obama on!!!
So, why the name SASSY CURVES?
As a curvy woman myself, I feel that it is necessary to not merely work with and tolerate what you have been given, but to embrace, celebrate and really love your body— curves and all. Believe me, I’ve had my share of body conscious issues caused by negative and unwanted attention, teasing, objectification, cellulite, you name it. I’ve had plenty of days when I’ just wanted move through my day unnoticed. I had to realize that I’m not meant to blend in, none of us are. So what if I stand out?! While I’m standing there I may as well do so proudly!
So, that’s what’s up with SASSY CURVES.
I hope that you’ll stay tuned and follow along on this journey to a healthier, SASSY(er) you AND me!
xo,
~Sassy Tea~
P.S. Feel free to drop a question in the ask box anytime. Looking forward to chatting more with you all this year. Don’t be a shy stranger! ;) #KeepItSassy
