How to Task Your Subconscious Mind While You Sleep

Did you know if you start telling and thanking your subconscious mind, higher self, and source in advance for that next level download at night before bed, they automatically go to work to formulate and deliver paths and solutions to get it to you?

It’s true. Try this fun experiment and prove it to yourself. Plug in one of these programming cues before drifting off tonight:

Start off with something easy, like telling yourself what time you want to wake up in the morning and task your subconscious to help you awaken without your alarm. Once you’ve done it a few times to prove how easy it is to allow your unconscious to lead you, try embedding a few task command like:

Thank you for showing me the best way to quickly & easily…
Thank you for working out...
Thank you for revealing the secret to...
Thank you for helping me to remember/understand...
Thank you for helping me to create...

Why NLP is the Cheat Code to Success and How to Use It

So... what’s the deal with NLP?

Do you know what some of your mega-successful faves, like Oprah, President Barack Obama, Pharrell and Tony Robbins all have in common? It’s a passion for the science of NLP.

In the book NLP: The New Technology of Achievement, the authors describe NLP as “The study of human excellence.”

So, if Aristotle’s words, ““We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit,” are true… then NLP is the real life cheat code that reveals the tested & proven habits and ways of thinking of great achievers in a way that’s accessible and completely applicable to your life.

NLP allows you to see exactly HOW to achieve your goals by helping you to:

Resolve inner conflicts that may be preventing you from deciding on and taking action in your life
Break lifelong habits & beliefs that are holding you back
Create and reinforce positive feelings about yourself
Change your limiting beliefs
Model the thought processes, beliefs and behaviors of winners

When can I use NLP?

Use NLP at work to help you become more confident and persuasive verbally and in writing to lead others, even when you’re not in charge.
In your relationships to let go of past heartbreak, sadness or anger to attract more high-vibe love from the people in your life.
In your business to feel comfortable with selling your services and promoting your products and marketing yourself.
With yourself to tap into your internal resources in order to operate at a high-level. Improve your mood , focus & outlook on life.
In everyday interactions to only attract the best from people and situations you encounter.

Ok, so how does NLP work?

NLP consists of hundreds of techniques that help you accomplish SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Timed) goals and get results. Some of the foundational ones that trained master practitioners, like myself, use include Time Techniques, EFT Tapping and Clinical Hypnotherapy to name a few.

Ok, so what is EFT Tapping?

Have you ever had a negative thought or nagging feeling that you just couldn’t shake off? A few rounds of EFT tapping can knock that right out. Emotional Freedom Techniques are based on acupuncture/acupressure, and uses the same energy meridians (points on the body), to move stuck energy, emotions and physical discomfort. EFT is used to restore balance to the system of the body to it’s natural default setting. And, the best part is that once you learn it, it’s a tool you can use anytime—at your desk, on your flight, stuck in traffic, pretty much anywhere.

And, TIME Techniques?

TIME, or Time Integration for Maximum Empowerment is a set of techniques from NLP that are used to eliminate problems rooted in the past or future; undo limiting decisions, which are the root cause of a stubborn belief; release negative emotions; and re-program your subconscious mind for future success. For example, once we pinpoint the reason and locate point where the habit of being, let’s say, self-critical began in your life, we can revisit and neutralize its original cause (in a loving, self-compassionate way, of course).

Alright, now what about hypnotherapy?

Hypnosis is relaxation, plus focused attention to speak to your subconscious mind—that is the part of your brain that’s responsible for your automatic thoughts and behaviors, like whether or not you will procrastinate or take action. The body is much like a robot and your mind has the programming that runs the show. That’s why hypnosis is a powerful tool that I use to help my clients program their mind for more success, love, confidence, abundance—whatever is needed! You, too, can give up what’s been weighing you down.

In a short time, NLP can and will ultimately lead to personal success in your life. But, beyond it’s reputation as a tool that everyday, exceptional people like you can use to easily model the ways great achievers use their brain to get results—NLP allows you to release the discomfort of heavy feelings that you’ve likely been carrying around for years. The subconscious remembers each and every detail of your entire life. And, it’s constantly using that info it has collected to do it’s job of trying to protect you from perceived harm, like a bear chasing you in the wild back when we used to hunt for survival. Or… getting up to do a speech—which can seem like an impeding bear attack when you’re not used to doing it (that’s called activated fight or flight mode).

In fact, your survival instinct is so sharp and efficient, anytime our conscious mind has an idea to do something new, like start your business or a relationship, for example, your subconscious mind jumps in and not only calculates the risk, but then it determines whether or not to green-light the necessary habits, functions and internal resources you need to make it happen. When the subconscious is not on board it’s starts flashing red lights to stop you, so you end up do things like procrastinating, making excuses, and self-sabotaging to not act on the brilliant idea your conscious mind dreamt up and you’ve been telling yourself you actually want.

Your subconscious also harbors around latent feelings until it finds what it thinks is an opportune time to bring it to the surface and resolve it. Have you ever witnessed someone who maybe had a bit too much to drink at a party and have an “inappropriate” outburst seemingly out of nowhere? Well, the subconscious simply thought— ‘Hey, this is my moment to resolve this issue! Let’s do this!’ The beautiful thing about the work that I do with my clients is the emotional freedom that they get as a result of taking charge of their subconscious inner workings. Reaching your goals and desires becomes so much easier once you’re finally able to let go of the ton of bricks weighing you down and re-write your subconscious programming.

So... what’s the deal with hypnosis?
